Boris Johnson: We Will Perform Brexit on January 31st

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson held the first election rally of the campaign for early elections in Birmingham, where he stressed the importance of the vote. Johnson called the December 12 election to try to break the Brexit deadlock, paralyzing the country for more than three years and beginning to undermine confidence in the world's fifth largest economy.

A Man Doused Himself with Gasoline in in front of the British Parliament

A man with a lighter has been detained outside the UK's Parliament after covering himself in what appeared to be gasoline, London's Metropolitan Police said, quoted by the CNN.

Police have closed the famous Carriage Gate of parliament.

An unidentified man was reportedly arrested after spilling gasoline. Photos from the event show a man standing against a wall near the gates.

New Democracy wins in landslide, Mitsotakis to be sworn in as PM tomorrow

New Democracy has garnered a solid parliamentary majority according to exit polls that give Greece's conservative party a landslide 12 percentage point lead over left-wing SYRIZA.

New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis is scheduled to be sworn in as Prime Minister by President Prokopis Pavlopoulos at the Presidential Mansion at 1pm tomorrow, 8 July.

The European Parliament Hasn’t Elected a President in the First Vote

The European Parliament hasn't elected a chairman in the first vote, BTA reports. Most votes have been gathered by the Italian David Sassoli. 325 MEPs voted for him.

Four politicians are contenders for parliament presidency in the upcoming elections on Wednesday, the legislature said.
