State of emergency complicates ties between Ankara-Brussels: EU term presidency

The Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) warns Turkey against the extension of its state of emergency stressing that it harms the environment for progress in democracy and the rule of law and complicates ties between Ankara and Brussels.

Donald Tusk Welcomes Bulgaria's Balanced Position on Macedonia

At a meeting in Brussels with European Council President Donald Tusk, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva confirmed that European and Euro-Atlantic orientation was a top priority for the Bulgarian government, reported BNR.

The two discussed  the situation in the Western Balkans and, in particular, the latest developments in Macedonia.

New Council of Ministers Announced

Tomorrow, 4 May, at 9:00, the candidate for Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov, nominated by the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria parliamentary group, will hand over to President Rumen Radev a document for a successfully completed mandate for government formation, party's press office announced, quoted by Focus News Agency.
