Criminal Police Directorate

As "Novosti" unofficially learns, several persons suspected of various criminal acts have been arrested.
According to unofficial information, this action is carried out by strong forces of members of the Criminal Police Directorate who could not remain unnoticed, especially in the city center.

Ljubljana – Appearing in a telvised current affairs show on Sunday, Interior Minister Aleš Hojs rejected allegations about the police organisation changes being an attempt to politicise the force. Hojs sees the new law as the first step towards a more professional police that would reduce any political impact, whereas the opposition maintains the opposite.

A few hours after Aleksandar Vulin said that no one will be protected in the fight against crime, and that President Aleksandar Vui "is going to the end", president of Belgrade Palilula municipality got arrested.

He emphasized that Vui was the first president who said that no one would be protected in the fight against all forms of crime, and he fulfilled that promise.

He said that the ongoing attempt serves to relativize the existence of a criminal group whose members were arrested.

They were found after a full-day search led by the Ministry of the Interior, a helicopter unit of the Ministry of the Interior, the Mountain Rescue Service, a hunting association from Despotovac and numerous volunteers.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that Milica and Stefan were found unharmed near the town of Brezovica.

Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic says a member of the UKP that has been arrested "cooperated with a Western intelligence service for a while."

The UKP is the acronym in Serbian for the Criminal Police Directorate of the Serbian Interior Ministry (MUP).

BELGRADE - Operatives of the Security Information Agency (BIA), in cooperation with colleagues from the Serbian Interior Ministry detained a few days ago a high official of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP). He is suspected of leaking classified information to the CIA officers who are serving in the US Embassy in Belgrade, unofficially learned Serbian daily "Novosti".

BELGRADE - The results of the polygraph test taken by Head of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP) Rodoljub Milovic show no psychophysiological responses to relevant questions that would indicate that the examinee is not telling the truth, Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said on Thursday.
