Digital information kiosk to introduce Aristotle to tourists
The Culture Ministry, in cooperation with the Demokritos National Center For Scientific Research, is installing a digital information kiosk on the life and work of the ancient Greek philosopher and thinker Aristotle at the archaeological site of the Lyceum in Athens.

New legislation put to public consultation on Saturday seeks to wean five of Greece's top state museums, including the archaeological museums of Athens and Thessaloniki, from the Culture Ministry, giving them more freedom - and responsibility.

Sources deny Sculptures deal report
Sources within the Culture Ministry have dismissed a report by Bloomberg on Tuesday that the British Museum and Athens' Acropolis Museum are nearing a deal that would see the Parthenon Sculptures returned to Greece over time as part of a cultural exchange.
The deal would putt an end to a feud over historical artifacts that dates back to the 1800s.

Historic town of Monemvasia to acquire cable car
The construction of a cable car to the upper quarters of the historic castle-town of Monemvasia was included in the Culture Ministry's program with the European Recovery and Resiliency Fund and has been budgeted at 6,800,360 euros.

Late novelist Alki Zei honored in 2023

AKP submits bill for ministry to cover cemevis’ expenses
The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputies have submitted a bill to the parliament for the Culture and Tourism Ministry to cover the lighting expenses of the cemevis, Alevi houses of worship.
The bill also proposes that the water costs will be met at a discount or free of charge.

New autonomous zone established in Ljubljana
Ljubljana – A new autonomous zone has been created in Ljubljana near the Žale cemetery in premises owned by the bad bank but left to decay for several years. The users of what has been named the Participative Ljubljana Autonomous Zone (PLAC) expect they will not have to face police but support in “creating a healthy and open society”.
