Maria Giakoumaki, the mother of the bullied student who went missing on February 6, was the tragic figure at the funeral in Selli, Crete, on Tuesday, just 17km from Rethymno. People gathered to pay their last respects to Vangelis Giakoumakis, the boy who stoically and silently dealt with months of degradation by his peers at the Dairy School of Ioannina before committing suicide.

Around 08:30 am local, as revealed by protothema.gr, Police finally discovered the body of Vangelis Yakoumakis, who disappeared around a month ago from the Dairy School of Ioannina where he was studying.

Missing Vangelis Giakoumakis: A victim of bullying
The search is on to find 20-year-old student, Vangelis Giakoumakis, from Crete who was a student at the Dairy School of Ioannina, capital of Epirus in north-western Greece. There are many versions as to what may have happened to the young men but all search efforts have proved fruitless.

Looking for Vangelis, volunteers sought (photos)
