Social Democratic Party (PSD) candidate in the presidential elections Viorica Dancila has stated on Tuesday that Finance Minister Florin Citu's statements regarding the budget deficit led to the increase of the euro exchange rate, mentioning that the ministers of the Orban Cabinet are not there to complain about "the difficult inheritance", but to find solutions.

National leader of the People's Movement Party (PMP) Eugen Tomac said on Friday that during the consultations at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace following the ousting of the Dancila Cabinet he proposed President Klaus Iohannis to consider nominating a PMP member as the next prime minister.

We are interested less in the text, more in reaching a constitutional solution regarding the functioning of the government.

Ramona Manescu, Nicolae Moga and Mihai Fifor took the oath of office on Wednesday in the presence of President Klaus Iohannis for the Interior and Foreign Affairs Ministries office, Deputy Prime Minister for implementing Romania's strategic partnerships office respectively. The head of state wished success to the new three members of the Dancila Cabinet.

Social Democratic Party (PSD, major at rule, ed.n.) leader Liviu Dragnea said that the only option for replacing ministers in the Dancila Cabinet is the government reshuffle by Parliament's vote because the head of state will not give the prime minister any answer as concerns the reshuffle. "I wish Mrs. Dancila good luck. I do not think she will receive an answer from Iohannis.

Save Romania Union (USR) leader Dan Barna stated on Wednesday in Parliament's plenum that his party will vote for the no-confidence motion, the only way forward into Europe, highlighting that our country urgently needs a competent government, "not a puppet one, at the service of a convicted criminal."
