Turkey abandons defense, goes on attack: President Erdoğan

Turkey will go wherever the source of terrorist threat is, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, expressing once again Turkey's determination in military operations carried out in Syria and Iraq. 

"Turkey has abandoned defense and is now in attack mode," Erdoğan said on Jan. 19 at a meeting with village heads at the presidential palace. 

Criminal complaint filed against Sabah over slander

The Doğan Group has filed a criminal complaint against daily Sabah after the newspaper targeted the group with fictitious "news" that "FETÖ and other terrorist organizations will drag the country into chaos in the direction of their plans." 

A request has also been filed to block access to links to the story regarding the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ).

US takes Turkish concerns into account on Mosul assault: Minister

The United States is taking Turkish concerns into account over the role of Shiite militias in the upcoming Mosul operation to clear Iraq's second-largest town of jihadists, Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Işık has said as preparatory military mobilization continued over the weekend.
