Serbian long jumper Vuleta wins Diamond League

EUGENE - Serbia's Ivana Vuleta won the long jump event at the Diamond League in Eugene, US, after producing a 6.85 m leap in her last attempt in the final on Sunday.

Vuleta was tied in the first place with Nigerian Ese Brume but won due to a better second-best attempt (6.77 m compared to 6.69 m by Brume).

American Quanesha Burks took the third place with a 6.77 m jump.

Bromell, Thompson-Herah bag 100m wins in Eugene

Trayvon Bromell and Elaine Thompson-Herah grabbed 100m Diamond League victories on May 28 in Eugene, where eight world-leading performances highlighted the action at Hayward Field.

America's Bromell, the fastest man in the world last year, bounced back from a false start disqualification in Birmingham last weekend to win a star-studded men's 100m in 9.93 seconds.

Turkish sprinter finishes second in Diamond League

Turkish sprinter Yasmani Copello Escobar finished second in the men's 400-meter hurdle in the season's first race in the Diamond League. 

The 33-year-old Cuban native finished the race in 49:04 seconds.

Norwegian Karsten Warholm broke the tape in 47:10 seconds.

In the men's 200-meter race, Turkey's Ramil Guliyev finished fifth in 20.80 seconds.

Mirela Demireva made a Historic Jump in Stockholm

Bulgarian Mirela Demireva finished second in the discipline of high jump of the race from the Diamond Athletics League in Stockholm (Sweden), reports Gong.bg.
 
Olympic vice-champion of the Rio 2016 Demireva finished at 200 centimeters, with her third attempt, and for the first time in her career she overcame the master border.
 

Spanovic finishes second at Diamond League season-ender

ZURICH - Serbian female long jumper Ivana Spanovic has wrapped up her IAAF Diamond League title with a second-place finish at the season-ending Zurich meeting.

Spanovic produced a 6.93 m leap, finishing behind Brittney Reese of the United States (6.95 m) and ahead of Darya Klishina of Russia (6.63 m).
