All Anadolu Agency staffer released after detention in Egypt
All of Anadolu Agency staffers, who were detained by Egyptian police earlier this week, were released, said the agency head on Jan. 19.
"All our staff members, detained in Egypt on Jan. 14 have been released," Anadolu Agency Director-General Şenol Kazancı said.
On Jan. 14 evening, Egyptian police raided the Cairo office of Anadolu Agency and detained four employees.

Egypt's chief prosecutor says Cyprus has extradited the hijacker of an EgyptAir plane that was diverted to the Mediterranean island in 2016.
Prosecutor Nabil Sadek said late Saturday that Egyptian police have taken custody of Seif Eddin Mustafa in the Cypriot capital, Nicosia.

Jihadists Killed over 58 Policemen in Egypt
At least 58 Egyptian police officers have been killed in an attack by jihadists , local media reported.
The attack took place in Giza province, 150 km away. from the capital Cairo. The police forces acted on a signal, but they were ambushed.

ISIS attacks Greek Orthodox Monastery of St. Catherine in Mount Sinai
Gunmen opened fire on an Egyptian police checkpoint near the famed Greek Orthodox Monastery of Saint Catherine in Sinai late on Tuesday, killing one policeman and wounding four, security and medical officials said.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack via its news agency Amaq.
