Belgrade yet to be officially informed of S.Stream scrapping

BELGRADE -- Energy Minister Aleksandar Antic said on Tuesday the government had not received any official notice from Gazprom about any changes the South Stream project.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday Russia could not continue the project because of opposition from the EU.

Bulgarian Energy Committee Deputy Chair: South Stream Termination Notice Is ‘Bluff’

Martin Dimitrov, Deputy Chair of Bulgaria's parliamentary energy committee, has dismissed the announcement of Russian President Vladimir Putin about the suspension of the South Stream gas pipeline project as a bluff.

"There is no way Russia is giving up on the South Stream gas pipeline project," Dimitrov declared Tuesday in an interview for the morning broadcast of Nova TV.

IMF mission comes to Bucharest for talks with Romanian authorities on 2015 budget bill

A joint mission of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and European Commission (EC) experts will be in Bucharest over December 2 - 10 to discuss with the Romanian authorities the 2015 Budget Bill.

The mission will be headed by chief negotiator for Romania Andrea Schaechter on behalf of the IMF, and by Istvan Szekely on behalf of the EC.

Chapter opening depends on Brussels agreement

BELGRADE - Head of the European Union Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport said Monday that opening the first chapter in Serbia's EU accession talks depends on the progress with the implementation of the Brussels agreement, adding that the European Commission recommends Chapter 32, on financial control, to be among the first opened.
