Tusk visits Greece: The momentum is there but we are not close to a “success story”

Cautiously optimistic fro the outcome of the negotiations is the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, according to what he said in front of the cameras before his meeting with Alexis Tsipras and just a few hours after the negotiations that took place in Brussels between the three Greek ministers and the representatives of the creditors.

Macedonia's Politicians Risk Sanctions, Observers Say

Diplomats and political analysts say that it is becoming increasingly certain that the US and European governments may soon resort to various sanctions against Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov and former Prime Minister and leader of the right-wing VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski.

Ivanov and Gruevski are continuing to block the formation of an opposition-led government.

European Council President Tusk to Meet with Macedonian President Ivanov on Monday

European Council President Donald Tusk will arrive to Macedonia on Monday for a meeting  with President Gjorge Ivanov, according to BNR.

The main goal of the meeting is to discuss the latest developments with regard to the migrant crisis. Macedonia emerged as a key Balkan route state after it closed its border with Greece in early 2016, effectively closing the Balkan route.

Spain might use veto over Gibraltar related to Brexit

Spain is likely to wield a veto over any Brexit deal for Gibraltar after the EU-27 backed Madrid in its draft negotiating guidelines for forthcoming divorce talks between the UK and the bloc.
Gibraltar is a disputed territory, which Britain has held for centuries. For the UK, any Brexit deal would automatically apply to Gibraltar, since it claims it as British territory.
