BELGRADE - The continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina talks bears major importance for Serbia's European integration and Germany maintains the stand that the talks with Serbia should begin by opening the chapter on Kosovo, German MPs said in the Serbian parliament on Thursday.

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received on Monday a delegation of the Senate of the Italian Republic, who once again stressed Italy's support to Serbian EU integration and the opening of negotiation chapters.

EU accession means a busy summer for Serbia's Parliament

Lawmakers say they are committed to meeting the EU deadlines to move the accession process along.

The Serbian parliament is undertaking a working summer, without breaks or holidays, considering new laws that are required to meet deadlines to accelerate the European integration process.

BELGRADE - Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia Michael Davenport conferred on Friday with the Chair of the Serbian parliament European Integration Committee Aleksandar Senic concerning the enhancement of control and supervisory role of the parliament.

BELGRADE – The Serbian parliament has so far fully constituted 12 of a total of 19 of its committees in the new session.

One committee has still got no chair, one does not have deputy chair, and four committees currently have neither chair nor deputy chiar.
