While holding the presidency of the EU Council, Romanian officials proved Romania's ability to contribute to the added value of the European Union, Prime Minister Viorica Dancila said in Strasbourg on Tuesday at a plenary session of the European Parliament.

The President and Vice-President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker and Frans Timmermans, hailed the "European approach" of Prime Minister Viorica Dancila and the Romanian Government's support for the European project, on the occasion of their meeting on Tuesday in Brussels, informs the Executive's press office.

The government on 30th of April approved Bulgaria's application to host the seat of the European Labour Authority, the newest European agency, which is about to start working before the end of the year, reports BNT. 

Minister-delegate for European Affairs, George Ciamba, on Saturday had a meeting in Washington with members of the Atlantic Council, an organization that promotes the strengthening of the Transatlantic relations, on which occasion he talked about the need to agree on a set of definitions for important phenomena, to help avoiding that gaps between the EU and the US become deeper.

The European project needs a new thrust, future vision and long-term solutions, Prime Minister Viorica Dancila said on Thursday in her speech delivered in the "E!Sharp Live 2019 - What does Europe mean to Europe?" event opening in Brussels. "At the moment, we are all convinced that the European project needs a new thrust, future vision and, based on this common vision, long-term solutions.
