Bulgarian MEP Momchil Nekov (S&D) presented the opportunities and challenges facing EU agriculture in the framework of the TTIP negotiations at a conference, which was held in the House of Europe in Sofia on Friday.

The head of Europe?s banking supervisory authority, Daniele Nouy, on Tuesday called for a rapid solution to Greece?s debt problems in order to reduce the uncertainty for the banking sector.

Nouy, who heads the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), told a hearing before the European Parliament that the Greek banks have ?a much better solvency situation than in previous years.?

Bulgaria's former Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev holds no ambitions of returning to the leadership of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP).

Stanishev, who is currently one of Bulgaria's 17 Members of the European Parliament (MEP), will focus on his leadership of the Party of European Socialists (PES).

Dacic confers with Mogherini

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said on Wednesday he believes Greece's reforms and financing issues are being resolved after a torrid few weeks.

"I have to recognize that I was very pessimistic during the last weeks because there was no progress whatsoever,» Juncker told the European Parliament.
