One in five Greeks illegally accesses sports content
Greeks rank second in Europe in terms of their accessing illegal sports content.
According to the 2023 report of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), Greece is second only to Bulgaria in terms of illegal access to online sources for watching sports broadcasts.
Fake goods more popular in Cyprus
A large portion of Cypriots have admitted to accessing content illegally, particularly for watching sports, according to a report from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
The report highlights that 54% of Cypriot consumers are uncertain about the authenticity of a product, and 17% have intentionally purchased counterfeit goods, against an EU average of 13%.

Greece has unveiled a new trademark for Macedonian products in a bid to ease the commercial ramifications of the Prespes name deal signed between Athens and Skopje in 2018.
The motto of the blue-and-white logo is "The GReat Land."

McDonald's Loses Big Mac EU Trademark Battle
Irish fast food chain Supermac's announced Tuesday it had won a European Union battle against global giant McDonald's over the use of the Big Mac and Mc trademarks, reports AFP.
Supermac's asked the European Union Intellectual Property Office to cancel McDonald's use of the trademarks in certain fields.
