The competitiveness of the Greek economy is almost stable
Greece's position in terms of competitiveness fell by just one position compared to last year, according to data from Swiss-based International Institute for Management Development (IMD) published today. The country is now in 47th place in the relevant ranking, falling from 46th place last year, among 63 countries.

Last summer's change of government played a decisive role in improving Greece's ranking on the global competitiveness chart by nine positions compared with 2019, according to the Swiss-based Institute for Management Development (IMD).

Corporate governance workshop in Thessaloniki
The Athens Stock Exchange and the Federation of Industries of Greece (SBE) are organizing a workshop in Thessaloniki titled "Corporate Governance and Sustainable Development: Modern Trends and Optimum Practices," which will start at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday (16-18 Katouni).
The keynote speaker will be Stilpon Nestor, chief executive officer of London-based Nestor Advisors.

Mitsotakis, Zaev to meet again at business event on Nov. 14
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will meet with North Macedonia's Zoran Zaev on November 14, on the sidelines of the Thessaloniki Summit 2019, a business event organized by the Federation of Industries of Greece (SBE).
Their first meeting was on September 24 in New York, on the sidelines of a UN meeting, as part of Mitsotakis' contacts with leaders from the western Balkans.
