The Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office has demanded the release of 1,000 Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) suspects detained for using Bylock, an encrypted smartphone messaging application ByLock, after they determined that around 11,000 telephone numbers were directed to the application’s server through an online application called Mor Beyin.

Pro-government journalist Cem Küçük has suggested the killing of fugitive suspects linked to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), accused of being behind last year’s failed coup attempt.

Police on Dec. 22 detained some 15 high-ranking soldiers as part of an Ankara-based investigation into the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), reported state-run Anadolu Agency.

Turkish-Iranian businessman Reza Zarrab was forced to confess, according to Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ, who has said members of the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) are involved in the case.

An aircraft technician who was on President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s helicopter flight crew on the night of the coup attempt in 2016 was arrested on Nov. 20 over suspicion of using ByLock, the encrypted messaging application that is said to have been used by the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization [FETÖ].

At least 14 people, including former Prime Ministry’s employees, were detained in the capital Ankara on Dec. 8 for their alleged links to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), accused of being behind last year’s coup attempt.
