Greek FinMin Hints at Possible Bailout Referendum, Early Election

Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis hinted at the possible holding of referendum or early election in case the Eurozone rejects the country's debt renegotiation plans.

Varoufakis said this in an interview for Italian daily Corriere della Sera on Sunday, daily Kathimerini reports.

New Democracy?s parliamentary spokesman Kyriakos Mitsotakis has accused Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis of being a danger to Greece.

The Finance Ministry was forced on Sunday to deny a report in Corierre della Serra newspaper that Varoufakis had claimed the government would call a referendum on euro membership if its eurozone partners reject its reform proposals.

Citing an anonymous Government source, Reuters news agency reported on Friday that "the payment of 310 million euros has been made, with a Friday value date."

Bulgaria's top judicial body has rejected the resignation of Petyo Petyov, who heads the Sofia Investigative Service.

The motion was tabled on Thursday morning by Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov, but was turned down by an overwhelming majority at the Supreme Judicial Council (VSS): 12-4, 2 abstained.
