Two injured in Kefalonia helicopter’s emergency landing
Two people onboard a small private helicopter were lightly injured when they were forced to make an emergency landing on the island of Kefalonia, western Greece, on Thursday morning, the local press reported.
The two passengers, both Greek nationals aged around 60, are reportedly in good health but were transferred to the Argostoli Hospital for a medical examination.
Traffic gridlock after car catches fire in Efpalinos tunnel
Long lines of traffic formed for several hours on Thursday morning, after a car caught fire inside the Efpalinos Tunnel in the direction leading to Corinth, forcing the tunnel's temporary closure.
A video filmed by a car driver moving in the opposite direction and posted on a local news website showed smoke coming out of the tunnel and fire engines deployed at the scene.

Bulgaria: A Woman and a Child Died in a Traffic Accident on the Trakia Highway
A woman and a child died in a serious accident on the Trakia highway, the police in Pazardzhik reported. The accident happened at the 101st kilometer in the lane in the direction of Sofia. Only the driver survived.
According to initial data, a car with German registration crashed, went off the road and caught fire.

Over 100 people have been evacuated from Istanbul's Balıklı Rum Hospital as a fire broke out and spread rapidly.
According to local reports, a fire broke out on the roof of the building in the Zeytinburnu district at around noon on Aug. 4.

Three missing after factory explosion in Istanbul
At least three people were killed in an explosion at a factory in Istanbul's Tuzla district on April 29.
A fire broke out at a paint and varnish plant at around 1 p.m. local time, district governor Ali Akça told Demirören News Agency.

Powerful Earthquake Rocked Crete, One Man Killed
A man has died from the strong earthquake of 5.8 Richter in Crete.
The victim is one of the three people reported to have been trapped in the church of Profitis Ilias in Arkalochori.
According to the information of protothema.gr, the dome of the church collapsed, as a result of which a person was fatally injured.
