Turkish scholar awarded for earthquake art
A visual arts PhD candidate supported by the Turkish Education Ministry has won the prestigious "Excellence" award from Florida State University in the U.S. for her acrylic painting "Destruction," which captures the essence of the Feb. 6 earthquakes in Türkiye's southern provinces.

Shooter Wounds Three at Florida State University
A Florida State University graduate opened fire at the crowded library of the university, wounding three people on Thursday, CNN reported.
The gunman was shot dead by police. One of the wounded, a student, was in critical condition. The other two of the wounded are a student and an employee.

A gunman opened fire at a major university in Florida early Nov. 20, leaving three people injured, before officers killed the shooter, police said.
