MIA: 3 Died, 40 Injured in Car Accidents in Past 24-hour

Three people died, and 40 are injured in twenty heavy accidents on the road in the past 24-hour. The life of five of the injured is threatened. This announced the MIA's (the Ministry of Internal Affairs) Press Centre, reported Focus News Agency.

In Sofia are registered 51 slight and one severe road accidents.

Commissar Tencho Tenev: I Recommend Drivers To Be More Careful Today

"Because of the big homecoming today, I recommend to people to drive more carefully and to hold the needed distance on the road", said the commissar Tencho Tenev, the Chief of the Traffic Police Department, for Focus News Agency.

He also explained that 80 percent of the road incidents in Sofia are due to a non-compliance with the distance and with the speed.

Sofia Mayor Fandakova: Over BGN 1M is Earmarked For Repair Works and New Equipment of Municipal Hospitals in 2017

Over BGN 1M was earmarked for repair works and new equipment of hospitals for 2017, Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova said, as cited by Focus News Agency.

"The investments we have made in the past few years in Saint Sofia Hospital amount to about BGN 1M. The investments in Sheynovo hospital also total BGN 1M," Ms Fandakova noted.
