Foreign minister to visit Jordan to discuss situation in Gaza
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will pay a visit to Jordan to discuss the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza, where millions of Palestinians are stranded with poor living conditions.
According to a statement by the Foreign Ministry on Jan. 17, Fidan will hold talks with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and be received by Jordan's King Abdullah II.
Greek language learning platform now available in French and German
StaEllinika.com, an online platform for learning Greek, is now available in French and German, the Foreign Ministry announced on Monday.
The platform was already available in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
All functions on the website are free, and can be used both by individual learners as well as educational institutions.
Foreign Minister to visit Saudi Arabia on Thursday
Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis will visit Riyadh on Thursday, where he is scheduled to meet with his Saudi Arabian counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

Foreign minister to visit Armenia on Wednesday
Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis will visit Yerevan on Wednesday, where he is scheduled to meet with his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan.
Gerapetritis will also meet with the Armenian prime minister, Nikol Pashinyan, the Foreign Ministry said.

Greek humanitarian aid for Gaza arrives at Egypt’s El Arish airport

Cyprus calls for EU rethink on Syria migration as refugee numbers rise
As record numbers of Syrian refugees reach the shores of Cyprus, the Nicosia government wants the European Union to consider declaring parts of their war-torn homeland safe to repatriate them to, the Cypriot interior minister said.
"Starting a discussion to re-evaluate the issue of Syria is crucial for us," Minister Constantinos Ioannou told Reuters in an interview.
