European Union to evacuate citizens from China

The European Union is dispatching two flights to evacuate at least 350 healthy European citizens from the Chinese city of Wuhan as a deadly new flu spreads in the region.

The 28-nation union activated a disaster-response mechanism to organize the flights at the request of France, which has a large number of citizens in the Wuhan region.

France Mobilizes 100,000 Security Personnel For the Holidays

France's government is deploying nearly 100,000 police and soldiers for the holiday season as fears of extremist attacks remain high, according to Fox News. 

The additional security will focus on Christmas markets, shopping centers, religious buildings, public transport and tourist sites.

France Drops Electronic Voting For Citizens Abroad

France's government has dropped plans to let its citizens abroad vote electronically in legislative elections in June because of concern about the risk of cyber attacks, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday, cited by Dnevnik.

The National Cybersecurity Agency believed there was an ''extremely high risk'' of cyber attacks.
