World Bank revises up Turkey growth forecast

The World Bank has raised its gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecast for Turkey in 2021 to 8.5 percent.
In its July projection, the bank had pointed to an expansion of 5 percent, according to Europe and Central Asia Economic Update released on Oct. 5.

"Turkey's economy was one of the few to avoid a contraction last year, partly owing to substantial credit expansion.

Turkey proposes G20 virus fund to coordinate global action

An international fund under the auspices of the G-20 should be initiated to ensure an adequate and coordinated global action against the coronavirus, the Turkish foreign minister has said, a day before G-20 leaders are set to hold a videoconference to discuss what can be done in the fight against the fatal pandemic.

Trump Unsure if He will Meet with Putin in Paris

President Donald Trump says he probably won't meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Paris, but will meet with him at the G-20 gathering of world leaders this year in Argentina, reported ABC News. 

White House national security adviser John Bolton had said previously Trump would meet Putin this week when he travels to Paris for the Armistice Day 100th anniversary.
