Tangible Risk of Third General Election in A Year in Bulgaria

Bulgaria's anti-establishment party "There is such a people" (ITN), which is currently leading negotiations with other parties to form a government, has accused partner parties of having tried to influence the future government without having the right to do so, which according to parliamentary group leader Toshko Yordano, could lead to new elections - the third within a year.

Bulgaria's Caretaker Interior Minister: Migration Pressure on Bulgaria is Increasing

Bulgarian caretaker Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov told Parliament that migration pressure on the country is increasing. "We are indeed seeing an increased migration pressure, the kind of pressure that also existed before the caretaker government took office," Rashkov said during a parliamentary hearing held on a motion by the formerly ruling GERB party.

Caretaker PM Yanev: I Could Agree to Become Elected PM but Not at All Costs

"I could be prime minister in a regular cabinet, but not at any cost," Prime Minister Stefan Yanev told BTV.

He clarified that so far no such talks have been held with him.

"If such an invitation arrives, it must be based on priorities, visions, a program and a coalition that will nominate a government," Yanev added.

"The Americans do not negotiate with terrorists. Neither do we," said deputy-chairman of Slavi Trifonov's party "There is Such a People".

Toshko Yordanov answered a question about whether the party would take part in a pre-election debate with GERB leader Boyko Borissov.

In an interview on Friday morning, he added that caretaker Prime Minister Stephan Yanev has also been tracked by the security agencies over the same period. Rashkov, a lawyer, warned that he believed evidence about the wiretapping is being destroyed.
