Bulgaria Govt, Opposition Clash over Fighter Jets

The majority of Bulgaria's MPs on Thursday approved a report that recommends the revision of the procurement procedure for new fighter jets, alleging that there have been violations in the past.

MPs from the ruling centre-right party GERB of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov also indirectly accused President Rumen Radev of corruption.

Prime Minister Borisov is Considering Expanding Trakia Highway with an Extra Lane

Expansion of the Trakia highway with additional lane from Sofia to Plovdiv is contemplated by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.

"I think how the Toll system could work on the Trakia highway to Plovdiv, we should make it 6 lanes," he told in Varna, where he participates in the tenth edition of the Summer University of the Youth GERB, FOCUS News Agency report.

The Prosecutor's Office To Be Out of The Judiciary is Politics Idea According to GERB

The GERB members see a "politics activity" in the idea for the Prosecutor's Office to be out of the judiciary. This proposal was made yesterday by the chairman of the Supreme Court of Cassation Lozan Panov on a meeting with the President Rumen Radev.

Vezdi Rashidov, GERB: No One Is Married To The Power

Borisov 3 Cabinet To Discuss the Nomination For a Bulgarian EU Commissioner Today

On the first government meeting of the Borisov 3 cabinet today, they will consider the nomination for a Bulgarian  EU Commissioner, according to BGNES.

During a phone call with the Bulgarian Prime Minister, the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker urged the Bulgarian Government to nominate Bulgarian EU Commissioner as soon as possible.

Boyko Borisov to Lead New Government Talks

GERB leader Boyko Boirsov will head the talks for forming the new government, sources from the party said, quoted by BNR.

GERB members met at the party headquarters earlier today to discuss details from the election program that should now become the program of the government. Its key priorities will include the social sphere and public administration reform.

Alpha Research: 2.6 % Lead for GERB Over BSP

The most recent study of Alpha Research Group sociological agency forecasts a gap of 2.6 percent between GERB and Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) in the upcoming early parliamentary elections, according to BNR.

31.7 percent of those who have decided to vote would cast their ballot for GERB, while 29.1 percent say they would vote for BSP.
