BGN 4 Billion are Needed for all Strategic Railway Projects in Bulgaria

The necessary budget for the realization of all strategic railway projects in Bulgaria after 2021 is 4 billion levs. This was announced by the Minister of Transport Rosen Zhelyazkov during a working breakfast with representatives of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Austrian Commercial Representation in Bulgaria.

German businesses prefer to trade with Bulgaria rather than invest into the country, an article on DW Bulgaria's website argues.

Bilateral trade has posted a sevenfold increase since Bulgaria joined the EU in 2007 and is likely to reach EUR 7 B in 2016, with the volume of exported goods by Bulgaria now being just 25% lower than the one imported from Germany.

No German Investor Satisfied with Bulgaria's Legal Security

German investors into the Bulgarian economy are not satisfied with legal security offered by the country, according to a survey of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The organization has carried out a survey among 107 member companies, the chamber's head Mitko Vasilev is reported by the Bulgarian News Agency BTA as saying.
