Top EU court says it alone decides if EU bodies are breaking bloc's rules
The European Union's top court said on Friday it alone has the power to decide whether EU bodies are breaching the bloc's rules, in a rebuke to Germany's highest court, which this week rejected its judgment approving the ECB's trillion-euro bond purchases.

Top German court refuses to outlaw far-right NPD party
Germany's Constitutional Court on Jan. 17 said the far-right National Democratic Party (NPD) resembled Adolf Hitler's Nazi party, but ruled against banning it because it presented no threat to democracy.

Two months ago Chancellor Angela Merkel amazed the world by opening Germany's borders to all the genuine refugees (mostly Syrians and Afghans) who could get that far. She must have known her own people well, because ordinary Germans showed extraordinary sympathy and generosity to the new arrivals.

Germany to Send Neo-Nazi Candidate into European Parliament
The far-right National-Democratic Party of Germany (NPD) has won one MEP seat after Sunday's European elections.
NPD, which has received around 300 000 votes, benefits from an earlier decision by Germany's Constitutional Court to remove the three-percent election threshold for parties as "non-democratic" and "discriminatory".
