The judicial official in charge of disciplinary proceedings for soccer-related offenses, Deputy Prosecutor Nikolaos Margaritis, brought proceedings against Achilleas Beos, the president of Volos soccer club. 

Police in Thessaloniki in northern Greece arrested on Monday a 21-year-old soccer player who physically assaulted and injured a referee on Sunday.

The incident occurred in the area of Halkidona at the end of an amateur league game between Filippos Eleousas and Ethnikos Meteoron.

The Greek Soccer Federation has condemned an attack on the home of a video assistant referee only hours after a controversial topflight match decision.
