Bulgarian Authorities Detain Eight Illegal Migrants in Silistra

A significant development unfolded in Silistra, northwestern Bulgaria, where authorities successfully detained a group of eight illegal migrants, marking a crucial step in addressing the ongoing challenges related to illegal migration. The detainees, hailing from Syria and Iraq, included minors and were part of a larger group attempting unauthorized entry into Bulgaria.

Industrial production up for 11th month in row

Industrial production in Turkey improved by 0.7% month-on-month in March and 16.6% annually, the country's official statistical department said on May 11. 

The index has been posting monthly increases since May 2020 and rising annually since June 2020, according to data by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK)

Bus with Children Crashed in Northern Bulgaria, 10 People Injured

Two more arrests made over hooligan attack

Police said on Friday they have arrested two more suspects who allegedly took part in a soccer-related attack by a gang of hooligans against a group of eight people in downtown Thessaloniki in April 2017 that left one person dead.

The two men, aged 21 and 19, were charged with voluntary manslaughter and causing grievous bodily harm.

Three individuals in Bulgaria have been arrested and charged after obtaining over million (5 million lev) through illegal schemes. Prosecutors had been gathering evidence against the group since June.
