Court confirms: Šešelj to remain in custody

THE HAGUE -- Vojislav Šešelj will remain in the custody of the Hague Tribunal (ICTY), it has been announced.

The UN-operated tribunal's judges decided to suspend further consideration of the possibility of granting him temporary release, it was reported on Thursday.

The Bosnian Serb military leader led a multi-ethnic army which never terrorised civilians in Sarajevo but was itself targeted by Bosniak snipers, a Mladic defence witness told the Hague Tribunal.
