Inns become beauty centers in the town of fairy chimneys

Three rock-carved inns in Cappadocia have turned into a mud bath facility, with the aim of creating a different tourism alternative in the region Turkey's first rock-carved underground mud bath will serve in the Cappadocia region, as local inns, which served as lemon storage facilities in the past, have been reorganized into an new tourist attraction. 

Bootleg alcohol kills six in Istanbul while police detain 15 suspects

Counterfeit rak? consumption has killed six and poisoned dozens more, with nine in critical condition, prompting police to launch operations in four Istanbul districts, detaining 15 suspected of producing bootleg alcohol. 

Health Minister Mehmet Müezzino?lu said that six people had died and 23 others are currently under treatment at hospitals.

Hitachi in serious talks with Turkey to cooperate in air rail system: CEO

Hitachi Turkey General Manager Erman Akgün has said the company is at a serious point in talks with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to take part in a new air rail (havaray) project to help relieve traffic in the notoriously congested city. 

Akgün said the company may use long-term financing in the Japanese yen from a number of Japanese state-backed financial institutions. 

Turkey among top 10 medical tourism spots

Turkey, the sixth most visited tourism destination in the world, has also become one of the most popular medical tourism destinations with more than half a million medical tourists visiting the country last year, according to data compiled by Anadolu Agency from the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), the Health Ministry and private hospital figures.
