No Covid deaths on Wednesday

Ljubljana – The number of new daily coronavirus infections recorded in Slovenia on Wednesday dropped by 15% compared to a week ago to 286 cases. No deaths were reported. Currently, 36 Covid patients are at regular Covid wards and three in intensive care, according to the Health Ministry.

No deaths, 327 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday

Ljubljana – Slovenia confirmed 327 cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, 17% fewer than the same day a week ago. No patient with confirmed infection died yesterday, according to the Health Ministry. Thirty-six patients were hospitalised for Covid-19 as their main condition this morning, including three in intensive care.

Some 250,000 Turks quit smoking with help of ‘Alo 171’

Some 250,000 Turkish citizens have quit smoking with the help of "Alo 171," a phone line connecting smokers with the health officials who help them to quit, the country's Health Ministry has said.

In a statement issued for May 31, World No Tobacco Day, the ministry highlighted that more than 700,000 people called the line in 2021 and more than one third succeeded in quitting.

Turkey reports 864 new coronavirus cases, 2 more deaths

Turkey's confirmed cases of the coronavirus increased by 864 in the past 24 hours, and 2 more people have died, the Health Ministry announced on May 29.

The ministry's infographic said that some 1,107 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.

It also added that 129,961 tests were conducted over the past day.

Thursday’s coronavirus case count below 300

Ljubljana – A total of 294 people tested positive for coronavirus in Slovenia on Thursday, a drop of 29% from the figure reported a week ago. There were no fatalities, according to the Health Ministry. Thirty-three patients remain hospitalised for Covid-19 as their main condition, including two in intensive care.

New coronavirus cases down daily, weekly

Ljubljana – A total of 393 coronavirus infections were confirmed in Slovenia on Tuesday, a drop of 46% from Monday and of 38% from a week ago. There were no deaths, fresh data shows. Health Ministry data shows there are currently 34 Covid-19 patients at regular Covid wards, down four from yesterday, and two in intensive care, three fewer.

Turkey's confirmed cases of the coronavirus increased by 1,260 in the past 24 hours, and 4 more people have died, the Health Ministry announced on May 25.

The ministry's infographic said that some 1,225 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.

It also added that 137,573 tests were conducted over the past day.

Turkey's confirmed cases of the coronavirus increased by 1,480 in the past 24 hours, and 9 more people have died, the Health Ministry announced on May 8.

The ministry's infographic said that some 1,526 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.

It also added that 98,758 tests were conducted over the past day.

Turkey's confirmed cases of the coronavirus increased by 1,743 in the past 24 hours, and 7 more people have died, the Health Ministry announced on May 6.

The ministry's infographic said that some 2,239 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.

It also added that 135,316 tests were conducted over the past day.
