Probe launched into pregnant woman’s death

The Health Ministry is awaiting the findings of an investigation conducted by the National First Aid Center (EKAV) and the 1st Health Region of Attica regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of a 19-year-old pregnant woman in Nea Makri on Tuesday and the complaints of the ambulance service's delayed response.

121-year-old historic hospital to be renovated

The 121-year-old historical hospital building in the northern province of Samsun, which has been idle for a while, will be restored to serve as a family and life center.

The city will experience a new transformation with the renovation of the 121-year-old former psychiatric hospital building in İlkadım district and the new family and life center to be built by the municipality.

TAIPED issues tenders for hospital upgrade projects

The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) is implementing a series of 28 tenders worth 144.2 million euros (plus value-added tax) with the Health Ministry and regional healthcare authorities to upgrade infrastructure in 28 hospitals, 57 health centers and three medical centers around the country. 

Former Novartis executives cleared of bribery; 15 doctors charged

Four former executives of Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis and a former politician were cleared on Monday of bribery and direct complicity in the offense, as part of a probe into allegations that doctors and public officials had accepted kickbacks from the company in a period spanning 2006 to 2015.
