Nursing staff of state-run hospitals will hold a four-hour work stoppage on Thursday to protest what it described as "divisionary" policies, their union POEDIN said on Wednesday.

Thirty workers in Greece's ambulance service (EKAV) were quarantined on Wednesday after two of their colleagues tested positive for Covid-19.

Coronavirus cases rise to 2,850, deaths to 166
Greek health authorities on Wednesday announced 10 new coronavirus infections and one new death, bringing the total number of cases to 2,850 and the death toll to 166.
A total of 22 patients remain intubated, the Health Ministry said, adding that 96 have left intensive care.
Greek health authorities have conducted a total number of 139,445 tests for Covid-19.

No new deaths, four new coronavirus infections confirmed
Greek health authorities announced on Tuesday four new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total nationwide to 2,840.
No fatalities were reported in the past 24 hours, Health Ministry representative Sotiris Tsiodras said in his daily press briefing, keeping the death toll at 165. The median age of the victims was 75.

14-day quarantine rule for air passengers extended
The mandatory 14-day quarantine for incoming visitors and returning residents, first introduced on March 16, has been extended to the end of May, Greece's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said on Monday.

Cyprus records just one new coronavirus case
Just one new coronavirus case was announced in the Republic of Cyprus on Monday, raising total known cases to 917.
The new case, which emerged after a bulk of 1,287 samples were checked for the virus, was found through the round of tests on employees of the retail and construction sector that resumed operation two weeks ago as part of the first phase of the relaxation of measures.
