3 defendants released in İstiklal bomb attack case
Three defendants have been released in the case of the 2022 terrorist bombing that claimed the lives of six people on İstiklal Avenue, one of the tourist hotspots in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district.
The trial continued in relation to the terrorist bomb attack on İstiklal Avenue on Nov. 13, 2022, in which six people were killed and 99 were wounded.

Ex-HDP MP Güven sentenced to 22 years in prison
A court on Dec. 21 sentenced Leyla Güven, a former deputy from the opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) to over 22 years in prison for being a member of an armed terrorist group and making propaganda for it twice.
The 9th Heavy Penal Court in southeastern Diyarbakir province handed Güven 22 years and three months in prison and issued an arrest warrant for her.

Nearly 20 suspects detained in PKK op in Istanbul
Security forces detained at least 19 suspects, including the deputy mayor of Istanbul's Şişli district over their alleged links to the PKK/KCK terror group, sources have said.
As part of an investigation, earlier detention warrants were issued for a total of 25 suspects.

Turkish court sentences 3 over killing stray dogs
Three men on Jan. 27 were sentenced to 10 years in prison apiece for poisoning stray dogs in capital Ankara, according to state-run Anadolu Agency.
The Heavy Penal Court No. 5 in Ankara also imposed a punitive fine of 15,000 Turkish Liras (nearly $2,524) on each defendant, Anadolu Agency cited anonymous sources as saying.
