George Seaton's film "Miracle on 34th Street" remains one of the best-loved Christmas classics of all time, conveying a message of hope and love. To make sure we all still believe in miracles, the Hellenic American Union (hau.gr) has arranged a screening of the original 1947 version.

Cured | Athens | June 8
Celebrating Athens Pride, the Hellenic American Union (hau.gr) is screening "Cured," an award-winning documentary by Bennett Singer and Patrick Sammon. Released in 2020, "Cured" chronicles the campaign that led to homosexuality being officially struck off the US register of mental disorders in 1973, a watershed moment in the gay rights movement.

Photographic Pairs | Athens | To March 4
The annual "Photographic Pairs" exhibition, organized by the Hellenic American Union, the Hellenic American College (HAEC) and the Photography Circle, is holding its 2020 edition at the Hellenic American Union's Kennedy Gallery. Every year, a selection of work by two different photographers is displayed side by side in order to highlight similarities or underlying differences.

The Hellenic American Union is hosting a series of screenings of contemporary Spanish cinema in an event aimed at showcasing the variety of its genres, themes and production value. This year's screening series comprises three fiction films and two documentaries, starting on Monday, November 4, with Elena Martin's 2017 "Julia Ist," a drama aimed audiences aged 12 and over.

Comicdom Con | Athens | April 19-21
Greece's biggest event dedicated to comic books is back with a strong lineup of events and special guests, including Spain's Raul Allen and Patricia Martin, the UK's Dan Watters and Italian artist Stefano Zanchi. This year's honored artist is Greece's Tasos Marangos (Tasmar). Events will be taking place at the Hellenic American Union and the French Institute from 11 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.
