Serbia makes progress on "economic freedom" list

Serbia has made the biggest advance in the region on this year's Index of Economic Freedom list, going up from the previous 90th to 77th position.

On the list of the 178 countries surveyed, compiled by the Washington-based Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal, Serbia has scored 62.1 points - 2.1 points more than in 2015.

Bulgaria Ranks 60th in Economic Freedom Index

Bulgaria ranks 60th in the latest Index of Economic Freedom which was released on Monday.

The index is published annually by The Wall Street Journal and the Washington-based Heritage Foundation think-tank.

The overall score of Bulgaria is 65.9, the country recording a decrease of 0.9 point compared to the previous edition of the index.
