Türkiye's southeastern province of Mardin hosts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year for its natural beauties and local delicacies, as well as its history, culture and faith tourism. The city has recently witnessed a surge in visitors as the temperature is above the seasonal norms.

The southeastern province of Mardin, a prominent city known for its rich history and its embrace of diverse cultures, is currently experiencing an influx of visitors during the autumn months following the conclusion of the summer tourism season.

The tourist market of Northern Evia, of 17,000 hotel beds or 35,000 together with those of rented rooms, is trying to stand on its own two feet again. A special campaign will soon be launched by the Region aimed at boosting demand within the country, while efforts are being made to attract foreign tourists, in order to cover the wounds left by last year's fires.

Mykonos and Santorini in Greece are getting ready to welcome their tourists. A few days after the celebration of Easter, the two islands will be ready to welcome again their visitors.

Santorini and Mykonos seem to be the protagonists in the arrivals of tourists in the nine months of 2021, presenting the largest percentage increase of all Greek destinations.

Tour operators and tourists from Russia recently visited Mardin in southeastern Turkey, which has been dubbed "the city of civilizations."

Mardin Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Sabahattin Genç, Özgür Gürgör, president of the Mardin Tourism and Hoteliers Association, and other officials welcomed the tourist group of 65 people.

Around 7.5 to 8 million foreign tourists are expected to visit the Mediterranean province of Antalya over this year, following a daunting year for Turkey, a leading tourism player has said.

Turkey?s tourism income decreased by 13.8 percent in the second quarter of the year, down $7.73 billion compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜ?K). 

The number of foreign visitors to Turkey fell in the first half of the year while the outlook for the rest of 2015 looked gloomy as heightened security risks weigh on tourists' appetite for visiting the country.

Foreign arrivals fell 2.25 percent to 14.89 million people in the first six months, data from the Tourism Ministry showed on July 29.
