British lawmakers approve post-Brexit trade deal with EU
Britain's Parliament voted resoundingly on Dec. 30 to approve a trade deal with the European Union, paving the way for an orderly break with the bloc that will finally complete the U.K.'s long and divisive Brexit journey.
With just a day to spare, lawmakers in the House of Commons voted 521-73 in favor of the agreement sealed between the U.K. government and the EU last week.

The UK is ready to leave the EU on January 31st. This was announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
After the Brexit bill was approved by the House of Commons, it was also voted on by the House of Lords on Wednesday. The document must now be signed by Queen Elizabeth. This is expected to happen today or tomorrow, after which it will enter into force.
