Djedovic: Serbia to keep increasing share of renewables
BELGRADE - In the years to come, Serbia will keep increasing its share of renewable energy sources while looking after the stability of the energy system and the financial and social sustainability of energy transition, says Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic.
Turkey accounts for over one tenth of global geothermal capacity
Turkey has steadily raised its share of geothermal power of total electricity generation in the first seven months of this year to 3.1 percent with capacity additions of 37 megawatts, according to data compiled by Anadolu Agency on Aug. 24.

Bulgaria will Introduce FITs for Solar Systems
The government is considering a €0.12/kWh feed-in tariff for PV installations with a generation capacity of up to 5 kW and of €0.10 for 5-30 kW systems. If implemented, the scheme will come into force next month.

Renewable energy employs 11M people worldwide
The global renewable energy sector employed 10.98 million people in 2018, up 6.6% compared to 10.3 million in 2017, according to data compiled by Anadolu Agency from an International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) report.
