The US embassy in Russia has warned that "extremists" have immediate plans to attack Moscow, hours after Russian security services said they had thwarted a planned shooting at a synagogue by a cell of the Afghan branch of the Islamic State.

Turkish authorities have detained 29 people suspected of having ties to militant group Islamic State in operations across nine provinces, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Friday.

Suspects captured in "Operation Heroes-37" on Friday were planning to attack churches and synagogues in Istanbul, Yerlikaya said on social media platform X.

Turkish authorities have detained 304 people suspected of having ties to militant group Islamic State in operations across 32 provinces, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Friday.

The Turkish operation aims to establish a security zone by pushing Kurds out of those areas. However, the Kurds have concluded an agreement with Bashar Assad's army for joint action against the Turkish army. This was commented on by Yordan Bozhilov, chairman of the Sofia Security Forum, on BNT.

Most of the children joined their Kosovar families. Yvejs and his sister, however, were separated from two younger half-sisters. Fatime and Yvejs were taken in by their uncle in the northern town of Mitrovica, while the two younger girls, Isra and Alsa, joined their father's parents in a village near the central Kosovo town of Ferizaj/Urosevac.

German authorities in Dresden on Thursday said they had arrested an unnamed 39-year-old Bosnian in connection with the Islamist terrorist attacks in Paris in 2015 that killed 130 people.

Bosnian media have, however, named the suspect as Adis Abaz, from the Bosnian town of Zenica, who in 2011 was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in jail for smuggling drugs and military equipment.
