Aljazeera - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his comments targeting Turkey's ongoing military operation in the northwestern Syrian region of Afrin.

Israel is a "terrorist state and occupier," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, once again slamming the killing of 16 Palestinians by the Israeli army during a demonstration on March 30.

The Guardian - A 17-year-old Palestinian girl who was filmed slapping and kicking two Israeli soldiers outside her home has accepted a plea deal under which she will serve eight months in prison, her lawyer has said.

The Israeli army overnight carried out air strikes and fired rockets at targets in Syria, causing damage near a military position, the Syrian army said in a statement on Jan. 9.

Two Palestinians were killed early this morning in an Israeli air strike on Hamas in the center of the Gaza Strip, said a spokesman for the Islamist movement quoted by the France press.

The Syrian army said Israel targeted a military site in Hama province early on Sept. 7 which a war monitor said could be linked to chemical weapons production. 

The airstrike killed two soldiers and caused damage near the town of Masyaf, an army statement said. It warned of the "dangerous repercussions of this aggressive action to the security and stability of the region."

The Israeli army begins the largest military exercise in 19-year around the northern border, during which tens of thousands of soldiers will work out variants of a military campaign against the Lebanese Hezbollah movement.

Israel is pushing ahead with a project to build a giant underground wall around the Gaza Strip to block tunnels that could be used for attacks, the army said on Thursday.

The Israeli army has officially revealed the existence of a previously unacknowledged air base, called “Sdot Ha’ela”, whose commander is an officer with the rank of colonel.
