Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts

Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), the Istanbul Jazz Festival will host leading names and new discoveries from the world of jazz, as well as the stars of contemporary music between June 29 and July 18. The festival will feature more than 300 names in 27 different venues around Istanbul.

Four established and active cultural institutions in Turkey, Institut français de Turquie; the Dutch embassy in Turkey; Goethe-Institut and the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), are joining forces to provide emerging artists and authors in Turkey opportunities to spend time in artist residencies across Europe, and vice versa. 

The 38th Istanbul Film Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), will take place between 5 and 16 April with a program comprising highlights from Turkey and world cinema.

İKSV Alt Kat: Learning and Interaction Space, an initiative of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) and supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA), aims at increasing access and participation to cultural and artistic events, and will be presenting event and workshop programs in collaboration with Boğaziçi University in various fields throughout the year.

The Istanbul Music Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), announced its program at a press meeting on Feb. 5.

Awarded every year since 2012 by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) to promising young classical musicians, the Aydın Gün Encouragement Award of 15,000 Turkish Liras has been granted to the 22-year-old pianist Can Çakmur in its seventh edition.

The 16th Istanbul Biennial's title and conceptual framework was announced by the curator Nicolas Bourriaud at a press conference on Dec. 11. Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) and sponsored by Koç Holding, the 16th Istanbul Biennial will take place between Sept. 14 and Nov. 10, 2019. 

Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), this year's Filmekimi film week will be held between Oct. 5 and Oct. 14. Filmekimi will also come to Ankara and İzmir during October. 

The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) commemorates "La Diva Turca" Leyla Gencer on the 10th anniversary of her death.

The 22nd edition of the Istanbul Theater Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), will take place between Nov. 17 and Dec. 4.
