Three women researchers win L’Oréal-UNESCO grants
Physicist Tanja Goričanec, biochemist Klara Kuret and chemical engineer Ana Oberlintner have won the national L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science scholarships for 2023.
The trio were awarded the €5,000 scholarships on 1 March to join the 46 promising young women researchers who have won the awards in Slovenia in the 17 years since the start of the programme.

Slovenia co-hosts UN event on digital skills
New York – Slovenia co-hosted an event on the sidelines of the UN Transforming Education Summit in New York on Saturday that focused on digital skills in learning and teaching. The event was held in the run-up to the general debate opening the 77th session of the UN General Assembly which will also hear an address by President Borut Pahor.

Latvian president visiting Slovenia
Ljubljana – President Borut Pahor will host his Latvian counterpart Egils Levits on an official visit on Tuesday and Wednesday, which will be an opportunity to mark the 30th anniversary of Slovenia-Latvia diplomatic relations. Levits will also be received by National Assembly Speaker Igor Zorčič.
