Turkey sends medical virus aid to Balkan countries

A Turkish military plane carrying medical supplies arrived in North Macedonia on May 12 to support the country's battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

"Turkish Armed Forces aircraft carrying medical supplies for use against COVID-19 has arrived at the Republic of North Macedonia," the Turkish Defense Ministry said on Twitter.

Number of coronavirus cases exceeded two million, US still on top

Washington-based John Hopkins University says on its portal dedicated to the coronavirus that just under two million people have been infected with COVID-19 virus - 1.982.552.
However, according to the latest WHO data, last updated yesterday, there are 1.848.439 confirmed cases worldwide.

Foreign Ministry enraged by ex-US Secretary of State's comments on FYROM

Officials at the Greek Foreign Ministry were enraged yesterday at reports in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) that ex-US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright had suggested Greece may have been involved in deadly incidents last weekend in the town of Kumanovo.

Eighteen people ? 10 Albanian militants and eight policemen ? died after gunmen raided in the town.
