President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced that his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) is intensifying efforts to secure victories in key opposition-held cities, particularly Istanbul and the capital Ankara, in the upcoming local elections scheduled for next March.
CHP leader promises aid to Gaza
Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has declared that his party's mayors are gearing up to deliver aid to Gaza in a bid to support the Palestinians in the region.
"We will provide all kinds of assistance to the Palestinians living in Gaza, our mayors should be ready," Kılıçdaroğlu said during his party's group meeting on Oct. 31.

Erdoğan says cancelling plans to visit Israel

AKP to hold its congress on Oct 7
