Neighbors rescue a one-and-a-half-year-old girl from a house in deplorable conditions in the Central Anatolian province of Konya, as the Family and Social Services Ministry has announced that the child will be taken under protection.

A collision between a military vehicle and a truck in the Central Anatolian province of Konya has killed two soldiers and wounded two others.

A military van belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces collided with a truck from behind on the Konya-Adana road, where there was heavy fog, on early Jan. 4.

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli criticized a call by the Turkish Medical Association (TTB) for a two-day strike of health workers over the killing of Ekrem Karakaya, a cardiologist at the Konya City Hospital, by a relative of a patient.

After the murder of Ekrem Karakaya, a doctor in the central Anatolian province of Konya, the other day, the Union of Healthcare and Social Service Workers (Sağlık-Sen) went on strike across Türkiye on July 7.
