According to the government, during the meeting Brnabic expressed her worry over the increasingly complex situation in Kosovo and Metohija, bearing in mind that the interim institutions in Pristina do not respect dialogue and the agreements reached.

Analyst of the European Institute for Politics of Kosovo Taulant Krueziu, says that instead of increasing, the number of EU countries that encourage visa liberalization for Kosovo is actually falling.

Stefanovic added on Thursday that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is not the enemy of the Albanians living in Kosovo - but of those who want to expel and kill the Serbs living in that southern province.

Union representatives told BIRN that they support MP Nait Hasani's initiative to remove several holidays from the country's official list, including International Workers' Day.

The head of the Healthcare Trade Union Federation, Blerim Syla, told BIRN that the initiative still needs to be approved by the Kosovo Assembly, but argued that May 1 is a relic of the Yugoslav era.

"There will not be indictments for at least a year, that is, until Belgrade-Pristina negotiations in Brussels have been completed," an unnamed source, "close to Pristina authorities," is quoted as telling this newspaper.

According to the agenda, which Tanjug has seen, a trilateral meeting should have follow with the participation of Kosovo President Hashim Thaci. But it has in the meantime been reported that Vucic decided not to meet with Thaci, and return to Belgrade instead.

But, in case of "destabilization of the situation," that decision can be reversed, says president of the Kosovo Assembly Kadri Veseli.

The appointment was made by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, whose cabinet published a photograph, showing Laban and other judges take their oath of office.

"He is still a wanted person by Belgrade authorities. There is an Interpol red notice warrant and if he goes outside the country his name will appear at any airport," Reuters is reporting, quoting "a senior police source."
