The situation in Israel is getting more and more complicated. There will be no flights from Ben Gurion International Airport until further notice as part of a large-scale strike announced by the Labor Union on Monday morning to protest judicial reform. This was announced by the chairman of the Committee of Airport Authorities of Israel, Pinchas Idan, quoted by the Jerusalem Post.

A group of business associations, unions and professional chambers have decided to hold a mass rally in the Turkish capital city of Ankara on Sept. 17 in a show of condemnation of ?terror.?

A second attack on daily Hürriyet?s offices in Istanbul and Ankara on Sept. 8 has drawn reaction as national press bodies declared they stand by Hürriyet on press freedom. 

Turkish national press bodies and representatives of some Turkish dailies have paid a visit to the daily Hürriyet headquarters in Istanbul?s Ba?c?lar district, condemning the attacks. 

Labor and Social Security Minister Faruk Çelik said on Aug. 22 the government has reached an agreement with representatives of civil servant unions on a raise in public workers? wages.

As the collective bargaining process for public servants? wages began in Ankara on Aug. 3, police intervened in a group of union members, who wanted to march to the Labor Ministry to make their demands heard on the first day of the negotiations.

Public servants? wages are set to increase in 2016 and 2017 thanks to a collective bargaining process which will start on Aug. 3. 

Around 2.3 million public servants and 2 million retired public servants will have their eyes on the negotiations which will be conducted at the Labor and Social Security Ministry. 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s meetings on Sept. 9 displayed commitment to his pledge to act as a “running, sweating president,” as he met with influential groups from a wide section of Turkish society.
